I am a professional artist, writer, naturalist and teacher living on Cape Cod in Massachusetts. In addition to the ceramic tiles that I have been making, designing and painting since 1979 I paint watercolors, oil paintings and pastels as well as woodcuts and ink drawings. I write and illustrate two weekly nature columns published in two local newspapers as well as other articles and essays from time to time. My favorite subjects for both my art and my writing are the birds, animals and plants that share my world.
